With beaches dotted all around the coastline, there is always a beach to suit every mood and occasion on your holiday in Anglesey. Whether that be a family barbecue on one of the longest days of summer, a morning's exploring of creature-filled rock pools or a walk to discover a secret sandy cove. Ty Cerrig is approximately 10 minutes’ drive from the Anglesey Coastal Path and the beaches between Aberffraw and Rhosneigr. Slightly further afield (but well worth the extra five minutes) is Newborough Forest and Warren which form the southernmost corner of Anglesey, positioned between the Afon Braint and the Afon Cefni, with its extensive estuary.

There are so many ways to experience all the natural beauty the island has to offer on your holiday on Anglesey, whether it’s by bike, horseback, boat or by foot. Ty Cerrig is centrally located making it easy for you to get out and explore the island.
Anglesey has two of the UK’s nine cycle routes. Alternatively, choose to walk any part of the 130 miles of stunning Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path that makes its way around the edges of the island.
Impressive golf courses (both 9 and 18 hole) all boast stunning scenery and exceptional views as their backdrop, the hardest part might be deciding which course to choose. Anglesey is a brilliant destination for families, combining outdoor fun with engaging attractions. Children love Anglesey Sea Zoo, where they can get close to marine life, while Pili Palas Nature World offers butterflies, reptiles and soft play areas. History comes alive at Beaumaris Castle, where little ones can explore towers and grounds, and the nearby beach is perfect for a relaxed afternoon. Foel Farm Park is another favourite, with tractor rides and friendly animals to meet. Alongside safe, sandy beaches and easy coastal walks, the island offers a welcoming, stress-free setting where families can explore, play and unwind together.

Anglesey is proud of its rich cultural history. From Thomas Telford’s impressive suspension bridge visible as you cross over to the island to the 143 scheduled monuments spanning 4,000 years of local history. Walk from Porth Trecastell (or Cable Bay) to Barclodiad y Gawres, a Neolithic chambered tomb, situated less than five miles from Ty Cerrig.
Close to Aberffraw, Rhosneigr and the Anglesey Coast
Visit Aberffraw, what was once the capital of the Kingdom of Gwynedd from c.860 AD until c.1170. Join the Anglesey Coastal Path and enjoy the short walk to the island of Cribinau with the 7th century church of Saint Cwyfan perched on top.
Follow in the footsteps of former lighthouse keepers and walk down over 400 steps to join a tour of South Stack lighthouse itself.
Take a trip to Beaumaris gaol which provides an insight in to the life of a prisoner in the 1800s or, visit the 13th Century Castle, a World Heritage site.
Maybe spend the day at one of the many National Trust properties across Anglesey and neighbouring Gwynedd, including Plas Newydd and Plas Yn Rhiw.
You could even visit what was once, the world's largest copper mine at Amlwch and explore the network of paths across Parys Mountain.
